Fiber Internet and ISP Services in detail

About this service

Wave Fiber Technologies is an internet service provider delivering fiber connectivity built for how Kenyans actually use the internet, whether that is a family streaming and gaming at home, a business running cloud based tools, or a corporate office supporting dozens of connected devices at once.

We design, install and support internet connections that stay stable during peak hours and scale as your needs grow.

We also sell capacity on to other internet service providers. A local operator who cannot justify building an upstream link of their own can buy bandwidth from us and keep their own subscribers, packages and brand.

Corporate and enterprise solutions

For corporate offices, business parks, factories and institutions, we design internet solutions around the way your organization operates, not a one size fits all package. We work with IT teams and facilities managers to plan bandwidth, redundancy and network segmentation across multiple floors, buildings or branches.

Temporary internet for events and live streaming

Short-term connectivity for conferences, exhibitions, weddings, church services, sports fixtures and outside broadcasts - installed for the day or the week, and removed afterwards.

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. Site survey to check fiber availability and plan the best route

  2. Package selection based on your household or business needs

  3. Professional installation with minimal disruption to your space

  4. Speed testing and WiFi optimization before we leave

  5. Ongoing support for any connectivity issues

Questions, pricing and support

What happens if I need more speed than my current package later?

You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time, and since the fiber line into your house is already installed, an upgrade is a change to your package rather than a new installation.

Is there a contract, and what happens if I want to cancel?

No long, confusing contracts, as the package itself says. Speak to the support line about cancelling and we will confirm the process rather than lock you into small print you did not see up front.

What happens if fibre is not available at my address?

The site survey confirms whether your address is in a serviceable area before anything is installed or charged, and if it is not, we tell you plainly rather than sell a package we cannot deliver.

What is the difference between dedicated and shared bandwidth?

Shared bandwidth is split across other customers on the same line during busy periods, which is fine for most retail and office use and costs less. Dedicated bandwidth is yours alone at all times, which matters if your business genuinely cannot tolerate slowdown during peak hours.

Can installation happen outside trading hours?

We plan installation around your business, and for a shop or restaurant that means working before opening or after close where the survey shows that is possible, rather than disrupting a trading day.

What counts as a backup connectivity option?

A secondary connection, often a different technology such as a mobile data backup, that takes over automatically if the primary line fails, so a business that genuinely cannot afford downtime is not left offline waiting for a fault to be fixed.

What is a service level agreement actually covering?

It sets out the uptime we commit to and the response time for a fault, agreed with you at design stage rather than a standard document applied to every client. What it covers depends on the connection type, since a leased line and a redundant multi site design support a stronger commitment than a shared connection can.

How does network monitoring actually work?

The connection is watched continuously from our side, so a developing fault is often caught and worked before it becomes an outage your team notices, rather than our first sign of a problem being your call.

Can you work with our existing IT team rather than replace them?

Yes, this is the normal arrangement for a corporate account. We design and manage the connectivity itself; your IT team keeps ownership of everything running on top of it, and we coordinate with them directly during design and any planned work.

How far in advance do you need to know?

As early as possible, because the site visit determines whether the venue can be reached at all and what has to be installed to reach it. Some venues are straightforward; others need a link built to them, and that is not a same-week job.

Can it handle both the live stream and guest WiFi?

Yes, and they are deliberately kept on separate networks with the stream protected. Running both on one flat network is how a stream degrades the moment the audience arrives and connects.

What happens if the connection drops mid-event?

For events that cannot tolerate a drop we quote a second path on a different route, so a single failure does not take the stream with it. Where that is not included we say plainly what the single point of failure is before you decide.

Do you sell to our customers as well?

No. Where we supply capacity to an operator, their subscribers are theirs. That is written into the agreement rather than left as an understanding, because it is the first thing any operator wants to know and the last thing they want to find out informally.

What capacity can you deliver, and what does it cost?

Both depend on where the handover point is and what it takes to reach it, so they come out of the survey rather than a published list. Tell us the coverage area and the subscriber numbers you are planning for and we will come back with what is achievable there and what it costs.

What happens when we grow?

Capacity is reviewed as your subscriber numbers move. The point of buying rather than building is that adding capacity should be a commercial change and not another civil works project, and the agreement is written so that it is.

Home internet packages

Monthly, per the package tiers on the packages page. No installation fee on a standard survey.

The router is covered by warranty for as long as you are a subscriber, and our support line answers around the clock for existing clients, per the hours on the contact page. Call for a dropped connection, slow speeds, or WiFi that does not reach a room the way it should.

Business internet packages

Monthly, per the business tiers on the packages page. Static IP and backup connectivity are quoted on request.

Business clients get priority response on the support line, ahead of the standard residential queue, since a dropped connection during trading hours costs you money in a way it does not cost a household. Call for a connection issue, and for anything affecting a card machine or point of sale, say so when you call.

Corporate and enterprise solutions

Scoped and quoted per project after the site survey, since bandwidth, redundancy and the number of sites all change the figure.

Corporate connections are monitored proactively rather than waiting on you to report a fault, and the service level agreement agreed at design sets out response times for this tier specifically. Your IT contact reaches the support line directly, and where a fault is on our side of the network we work it against the agreed SLA.

Temporary internet for events and live streaming

Quoted per event on duration, location, capacity and whether a redundant path and on-site engineer are included. Venues that host events regularly are usually better served by a permanent link with an event configuration, and we will say so where that is cheaper for you than repeat temporary installs.

Support during an event is live rather than a ticket queue: you have a direct number for the duration, and where an on-site engineer is included they stay through the event. Testing under realistic load happens before the day, because the failures that matter at events are the ones that only appear when the room fills up.

Wholesale bandwidth for internet service providers

Quoted per agreement rather than from a rate card. What it costs depends on the capacity, where it has to be delivered, how far that is from what we already reach and the term you commit to. We will tell you plainly where reaching your point of presence is expensive enough that the numbers do not work, rather than quoting a figure that only makes sense on paper.

A reseller carries their own subscribers, so a fault on the upstream link is a fault across all of them at once. Wholesale agreements get a named contact and an escalation path agreed in writing, not the general support queue, and planned work is notified in advance so you can tell your own customers before they call you.
