Wholesale bandwidth for internet service providers

Capacity sold on to other internet service providers, so a local operator can serve their own subscribers without building an upstream link of their own.

What this is

Capacity sold on to other internet service providers, so a local operator can serve their own subscribers without building an upstream link of their own.

Most small and mid sized providers in Kenya are held back by the same thing: the cost of getting capacity to where their customers are. Building that route is a civil works project before it is a network one, and it is rarely worth it for the number of subscribers a single estate or town centre supports. Buying capacity from someone who already reaches that point turns a capital project into a monthly line item, which is a decision an operator can actually make.

What you resell is your own. We deliver the capacity and the handover point; the subscriber relationship, the packages, the billing and the brand stay yours. We do not approach your customers, and the terms are set out in writing before anything is installed rather than discovered later.

What is included

  • Capacity delivered to your point of presence or aggregation point
  • Your own branding, packages and subscriber billing throughout
  • Written terms agreed before installation, including how capacity is shared
  • A named contact for faults rather than a general support queue
  • Capacity reviewed as your subscriber numbers change

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. Commercial conversation covering coverage area, subscriber numbers and growth

  2. Survey of the handover point and the route that reaches it

  3. Written terms: capacity, how it is shared, escalation and notice periods

  4. Installation and handover testing against the agreed figures

  5. Review as subscriber numbers move, so capacity follows the business

Pricing

How this is billed

Quoted per agreement rather than from a rate card. What it costs depends on the capacity, where it has to be delivered, how far that is from what we already reach and the term you commit to. We will tell you plainly where reaching your point of presence is expensive enough that the numbers do not work, rather than quoting a figure that only makes sense on paper.

After installation

Support and servicing

A reseller carries their own subscribers, so a fault on the upstream link is a fault across all of them at once. Wholesale agreements get a named contact and an escalation path agreed in writing, not the general support queue, and planned work is notified in advance so you can tell your own customers before they call you.

Questions

What people ask before booking

Do you sell to our customers as well?
No. Where we supply capacity to an operator, their subscribers are theirs. That is written into the agreement rather than left as an understanding, because it is the first thing any operator wants to know and the last thing they want to find out informally.
What capacity can you deliver, and what does it cost?
Both depend on where the handover point is and what it takes to reach it, so they come out of the survey rather than a published list. Tell us the coverage area and the subscriber numbers you are planning for and we will come back with what is achievable there and what it costs.
What happens when we grow?
Capacity is reviewed as your subscriber numbers move. The point of buying rather than building is that adding capacity should be a commercial change and not another civil works project, and the agreement is written so that it is.
