What this is
Beyond basic alarms, we install dedicated intrusion detection systems for properties that need a higher level of perimeter awareness, including beam sensors, fence mounted detectors and zone based monitoring that pinpoints exactly where a breach has occurred.
A standard alarm tells you something has been triggered; a zoned intrusion system tells you where. The perimeter is split into zones, each covered by its own beam or fence mounted detector, so a report reads as "north fence, section two" rather than just "alarm". That distinction is what makes the difference for a warehouse or a compound with more than one gate, where knowing which side of the property to check first is what a response actually needs.
Beam sensors work in pairs across an open gap, such as a driveway or a gap between buildings, and trigger when the beam is broken. Fence mounted detectors sense vibration or movement on the fence fabric itself, which is what makes them suited to a wall or perimeter fence rather than an open gap.
What is included
- Perimeter beam and fence mounted detection
- Zone based alerts for faster response
- Integration with CCTV for automatic recording on trigger
- Suited for warehouses, compounds and corporate premises

How it works
From first call to handover
Site survey to zone the perimeter and place detectors
Installation of beam or fence mounted sensors per zone
Integration with CCTV so a trigger starts recording automatically
Zone by zone testing before handover
Pricing
How this is billed
Priced by zone and detector count, confirmed at the site survey. A property already fenced by us is usually cheaper to fit, since the fence run is already mapped.
After installation
Support and servicing
Detectors and the zone controller carry the manufacturer warranty. Beam sensors need their alignment checked occasionally, since a knocked post or a growing hedge can throw off a beam that was correctly aligned at installation. Call the support line for a zone reporting faults, or a false trigger you cannot trace.
Questions
What people ask before booking
- What is the difference between this and a standard alarm system?
- A standard alarm tells you the perimeter has been breached. A zoned intrusion system tells you which section, which matters once a property has more than one side or gate to check, and integrates with CCTV so the right camera starts recording automatically the moment a zone trips.
- Can beam sensors give false alarms from animals or weather?
- A stray animal can break a low beam, which is why beam height and sensitivity are set at installation based on what actually crosses the site. Heavy rain or dust can also affect some beam types, which we account for when choosing equipment for an outdoor Kenyan install rather than a sheltered one.
- Does this need its own control panel, or can it use an existing alarm?
- It can integrate with an alarm panel already installed, ours or from another installer, provided that panel supports zoned inputs. Where it does not, we fit a dedicated zone controller alongside it.
