What this is

Motion sensors, door and window contacts, and panic buttons connected to a central alarm panel that alerts you and your security provider the moment something is wrong. Alarm systems are especially effective when paired with CCTV and electric fencing for layered protection.

The panel is the brain of the system: sensors report to it, it decides whether what it is seeing is a real trigger or not, and it is what actually sends the alert, by siren on site, by a call or message to you, or to a monitoring company if you use one. Wireless sensors go in fastest and suit most homes; wired sensors cost more to install but have no battery to replace and no radio interference to worry about, which is why offices and larger properties often mix the two.

A panic button is a small addition on its own but changes what the system can do: it lets someone trigger an alert deliberately, silently if you want, rather than waiting on a sensor to notice something.

What is included

  • Wireless and wired alarm system options
  • Motion detection and entry sensors
  • Panic buttons for homes and offices
  • Integration with monitoring and response services
  • Mobile alerts when the alarm is triggered

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. Site survey to place sensors and panic buttons where they matter

  2. Panel installation, wired or wireless depending on the building

  3. Sensor and mobile alert testing with you before we leave

  4. Optional connection to a monitoring and response service

Pricing

How this is billed

Priced on the number of sensors and entry points covered, confirmed at the site survey. Connection to a monitoring service, where you want one, is a separate monthly charge quoted by the monitoring provider, not by us.

After installation

Support and servicing

The panel and sensors carry the manufacturer warranty, and wireless sensor batteries are a low, occasional replacement cost we tell you about at handover rather than leave you to discover. Call the support line for a false alarm you cannot clear, a sensor that has stopped reporting, or a panel fault.

Questions

What people ask before booking

What happens when the alarm is triggered?
The panel sounds the on site siren where fitted, and sends an alert to your phone through the mobile app. If you have connected a monitoring service, it also notifies them, and their own response process takes over from there.
Do I need a monitoring service, or is the mobile alert enough?
For most homes, a mobile alert to you and to a neighbour or family member is enough. A monitoring service adds a third party watching around the clock and a dispatched response, which matters more for a property that is often empty or a business with stock on site.
How often do wireless sensor batteries need replacing?
Typically once every one to two years depending on the sensor and how often it triggers. The panel reports a low battery well before it fails, so it is a planned replacement, not a surprise.
