Website hosting and business email
Hosting for business websites, with the domain, the SSL certificate and email on your own domain handled as one arrangement rather than three separate accounts nobody can find the logins for.
What this is
Hosting for business websites, with the domain, the SSL certificate and email on your own domain handled as one arrangement rather than three separate accounts nobody can find the logins for.
Hosting is one of those services that is invisible until it fails, and then it is the only thing anyone cares about. What actually matters is how quickly pages are served, whether the certificate that puts the padlock in the browser renews without anyone remembering to do it, and whether there is a recent backup when a site is broken by a bad update. Those are the three things we set up and monitor.
Business email on your own domain is included rather than treated as an extra. An address at your own domain is read differently from a free webmail address by both customers and spam filters, and keeping it with the hosting means the sending records that stop your mail being rejected are configured correctly from the start.
What is included
- Website hosting with SSL certificates that renew automatically
- Business email on your own domain, set up to pass spam checks
- Domain registration and renewal managed alongside the hosting
- Regular backups, so a broken site can be put back rather than rebuilt
- Control panel access if you would rather manage it yourself

How it works
From first call to handover
Assessment of what the site needs, including expected traffic
Domain registration or transfer of an existing domain
Hosting set up with SSL and mail records configured
Site migrated and tested before the domain is pointed across
Handover with control panel details recorded in your name
Pricing
How this is billed
Billed annually and quoted on the size of the site and the number of mailboxes. Domain renewal is a separate annual cost set by the registry rather than by us, and is stated separately so you can see which part of the renewal is which.
After installation
Support and servicing
Certificates and backups are monitored rather than left to run until someone notices a browser warning. A site that is down is a support line call at any hour, and restoring from backup is part of the service rather than a chargeable rescue. Control panel credentials are registered in your name, so you can move the site elsewhere without needing our cooperation - which is the position every business should be in with its own domain.
Questions
What people ask before booking
- Can you move a site that is already hosted somewhere else?
- Yes. The site is copied across and tested on the new hosting before the domain is pointed at it, so the switchover happens once everything is confirmed working rather than with visitors watching.
- Who owns the domain name?
- You do. Domains are registered in the business name with your details as the registrant. A domain registered in a supplier name is a problem that only surfaces when the relationship ends, and it is entirely avoidable.
- What happens if the site goes down?
- Call the support line. Where the cause is the hosting we fix it; where it is a change made to the site, a recent backup means it can be restored to how it was before rather than rebuilt from memory.
